PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Winchester 535242299: Since 1936, the Model 70 has served as the yardstick for all other bolt-action rifles. Its renowned 3-position safety is easily operated with the thumb of your firing hand, and lifts the firing pin away from the sear as a safety precaution. The Model 70's sturdy receiver is forged from a solid block of steel, its flat bottom providing an increased surface area for bedding. This receiver is bedded at both the front and rear with a two-part epoxy to ensure stability during firing.

The classic Controlled Round Feed (CRF) bolt design features a large claw extractor that securely grips approximately a quarter of the cartridge base. This maintains control over the cartridge from the moment it leaves the magazine until it is fully ejected, guaranteeing that even a cartridge not yet fully chambered can be extracted if needed.

Featuring the most precise three-lever trigger system in the world — the M.O.A. Trigger System — the Model 70 promises an improved fit and finish, coupled with enhanced accuracy. Alongside this is its Pre-'64 controlled round feeding. A blade-type ejector gives users complete control during the ejection of a fired case. The Model 70 boasts a free-floating barrel that has been button rifled, a process ensuring superior accuracy and durability.

This Extreme Weather version comes with a Bell & Carson stock equipped with aluminum bedding, matte stainless metal finish, and a fluted barrel.
