The Weatherby MBC20N653WR8B, an evolution of the revolutionary Backcountry series, takes the traditional steel Weatherby Mark V action to new heights with crucial enhancements. The standout modification is the Peak 44 Blacktooth carbon fiber stock, with its lightest variation weighing less than 20 ounces. This model incorporates a 3DHEX recoil pad; a hidden network of interlocking voids inside the pad progressively collapses during recoil, which extends the recoil impulse duration and mitigates the intense kick of magnum chamberings.

It features a lightweight fluted barrel that incorporates Weatherby's renowned Accubrake ST. Additionally, the bolt body boasts more distinct spiral fluting that aids in reducing weight and minimizing the bearing surface within the action, resulting in an incredibly smooth function. The updated bolt handle is threaded and outfitted with a lightweight, extended, and skeletonized aluminum knob.
