PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

We introduce the Weatherby MBC20N280AR6B, a significant advancement from the breakthrough Backcountry family series, the Backcountry 2.0. It tabs onto the historic steel Weatherby Mark V action, but with strategic enhancements. The standout update is the ultra-lightweight carbon fiber Peak 44 Blacktooth stock which weighs less than 20 ounces in its lightest model.

A unique feature to note is the 3DHEX recoil pad. This pad houses a complex structure of interconnected hollow spaces that incrementally compress upon recoil. This mechanism stretches the time process of the recoil impulse, thereby cushioning the harsh backlash of magnum chamberings.

The rifle features a feather-light fluted barrel powered by Weatherby's Accubrake ST. Also, a more prominent spiral fluting on the bolt body that slightly reduces the weight, diminishes the bearing surface within the action, and contributes to an even smoother mechanism. A newly-fashioned bolt handle adorns a lightweight aluminum extended and skeletonized knob, adding to the rifle's innovative traits.

The Backcountry 2.0, mindful of being the lightest possible firearm and chambered with some of the world's fastest cartridges, earns its place as the worthy heir to the throne.
