Its DA/SA (double-action/single-action) trigger and exposed hammer facilitate both rapid and precise shooting, while ergonomic rubber grips—interchangeable with those of the Taurus Judge and Tracker models—offer comfort and flexibility. The revolver features a removable front sight compatible with Taurus 856 upgrades, and a fixed rear notch sight for consistent alignment.

  • Seven-round .38 Special +P cylinder for enhanced capacity
  • All-stainless-steel construction with a matte finish
  • Removable front sight shares footprint with Taurus 856

With its increased capacity, sturdy build, and user-friendly sights and grips, the Taurus 817 is designed for those seeking reliable everyday concealed carry in a modern revolver platform. Its adaptability and robust construction make it a dependable choice for personal defense.
