PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Swiss experimented with scoped sniper rifles during World War II, and the results were the K31/42 and the K31/43. Only a couple thousand rifles were made between the two models, and they were only considered a partial success. Ultimately they were replaced by the ZfK-55 a decade after the war.
The Model 31/43 began as a stock K31, specially chosen for their accuracy, and mounted with a Kern 2.814 telescopic sight with a left side offset to enable the shooter to maintain use of the iron sights. Their scopes were adjustable from 110770 yards, in 110 yard increments.

This model was introduced in 1943 and was based on the standard straight pull, K31 Swiss rifle fitted with a 2.8 X sniper scope which is attached to the left side of the receiver. The chamber is marked with the Swiss Cross in a shield indicating it was a military contract rifle. The scope is marked on the side of the tube "V=2.8/ >)= 80 0/00".
The rifle has the standard Swiss K31 barrel without the muzzle brake/flash hider found on the later Swiss sniper rifles. The barrel has the standard front blade with raised guards on the sides. The rear sight is the standard Swiss military tangent style, marked 1-15 (100-1500 meters) on the face of the slide. This rifle has the standard walnut stock and handguard with a small Swiss Cross in a shield proofmark and steel buttplate. This rifle is complete with an original leather sling.
