The signature Mass Driver Compensator functions by utilizing the gasses released through the barrel after a round is fired, serving as a counterbalance system that mitigates mechanical recoil.

Typically, barrel-mounted compensators increase the operating system's moment of inertia and add reciprocating mass, which can interfere with the reliable cycling of recoil-operated handguns. However, the Mass Driver Compensator stands out as it separates from the operating components after ignition. This unique characteristic maintains near-to-stock cyclic speeds and minimizes reciprocating mass.
