PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Springfield PH9117AOS: The Springfield 1911 DS Prodigy is truly a unique breakthrough in the marketplace. It is an optic-ready, 9mm caliber single-action only pistol that provides that smooth, crisp trigger pull that can only be found in the 1911 platform, while also incorporating a high-capacity double stack (DS) magazine. In other words, the Prodigy features 1911 function and performance with a round capacity that matches the most popular striker-fired platforms. The pistol also features an optic-ready, forged carbon steel slide with a Coyote Brown Cerakote finish and deep front and rear serrations. Tall green fiber optic front and black serrated rear U-Notch sight plates are designed to co-witness with individual optics. Adaptive grip texture provides firm control with a businesslike, clean aesthetic. Developed in collaboration with Agency Arms, the Prodigy employs AOS (Agency Optic System) plates designed exclusively for the 1911 DS. Machined from billet 17-4 stainless steel, the AOS plates come fitted with a rear sight and are designed specifically to preserve visible iron sights for an intuitive sight picture and instant target acquisition. For the ultimate in accuracy, the pistol also features a 4.25" Match grade forged stainless steel bull barrel with an 11-degree recessed crown. The Prodigy also features an enhanced trigger, a skeletonized hammer, and a Picatinny light rail. Each Springfield 1911 DS Prodigy optic-ready pistol comes with one 17round flush fit and one 20-round extended magazine, plus an owner's manual, and cable lock in a soft case.
