Pedersoli S.870-457: Creedmoor Long Range .45-70 Rolling Block 30" OCT. Walnut

During the period from around 1885 to 1915, target shooting was as popular in America as professional golf is today. Custom built guns were common. A number of extremely accurate rifle designs evolved during the period, including rolling block rifles, which used a specially shaped breech block that was able to rotate on a pin and was locked into place by the hammer.

The Creedmoor Long Range is a great example of a period target rifle. Italian fine gun maker Davide Pedersoli produces this rolling block target rifle with a Creedmoor style adjustable rear sight and a tunnel front sight with interchangeable inserts. Pedersoli rifles are world famous for authenticity, reliability and precision accuracy.
