The Nosler 46848, introduced in 2018, is an upgrade of the successful Model 48 Long Range, now with the inclusion of a Proof Research carbon fiber-wrapped match-grade barrel. As a result of an innovative combination of precision engineering and advanced materials technology, the Proof barrel helps to cut down the rifle's total weight while also maximizing accuracy and durability. Proving a superior choice over traditional stainless barrels, PROOs' carbon fiber-wrapped barrels are lighter, stiffer, and better at dissipating heat to maintain consistently high accuracy.

Each Proof barrel is meticulously paired with a carefully refined Model 48 receiver and fitted into a Manners MCS-carbon fiber stock. This approach brings space-age technology right into your hands with your next hunting rifle. Ideal for mountain hunts, backcountry adventures, and long-range competitions, the Model 48 LR-Carbon is a tool born for wide-open spaces where long distances and a lightweight design are essential.

Key features of the upgraded Model 48 Long Range Carbo include the Nosler Model 48 Custom Action, action and bottom metal cerakoted in Sniper Grey, and a Timney trigger with a two-position safety. The rifle boasts a Manners MCS-T Elite Tac 100% Carbon Fiber Stock in Elite Midnight Camo, a 2 Proof Light Sendero Contour Carbon Fiber-Wrapped Barrel with a 5/8x24 threaded muzzle, and glass and aluminum pillar bedding.
