When Mosin Nagant rifles were originally sent into service the soldiers that carried them were issued bandoleers of ammunition packaged on stripper clips. These 5 round clips made speed loading quick and easy in the field where every second counted. Just drop the clip on ammo into the built in guide on top of the open bolted frame, and push down. Just like that the rifle is loaded. The rifles went on and survived, but the stripper clips were left on battlefields all across Russia and Europe and very few originals still exist. In fact many people do not know that loading clips even exist or are utilized for this rifle but they certainly were and these exact reproductions are a really nice have for any Mosin Nagant owner.
