Maxim Defense MXM47822: Born from the Socom PDW solicitation, the Maxim Defense PDX is designed to handle the fierce demands of the Tier 1 community. It dominates close-quarter encounters and achieves maximum energy on target. At just 18.75" in overall length, the PDX delivers groundbreaking power and performance in a subcompact platform. At the heart is a patent-pending, Maxim SCW stock system. This system cuts down the length of the stock to 4". The integrated BCG with interchangeable buffer weights gives you maximum performance and versatility without sacrificing form and functionality. The PDX is also equipped with a Maxim Hate Brake muzzle booster which significantly reduces recoil, decreases the flash signature, pushes gasses and concussion wave downrange.

At just 18.75" in overall length, the PDX delivers power and performance in a subcompact platform. The PDX is equipped with the Maxim Defense Arm Brace, which gives you a more stable shooting platform and makes your pistol more compact for easier transport. Built on the same housing as Maxim's CQB stocks, you get the same durability and features. The PDX is also equipped with a newly invented Maxim Hatebrake muzzle booster. This incredible patent-pending device significantly reduces recoil, flash signature, and pushes gasses and concussion waves downrange away from the shooter. Also, this muzzle device improves overall performance in short barrel pistols and rifles.

A common problem in short barrel PDW's with low-pressure cartridges is cycling. Maxim Defense's Hate Brake muzzle booster is designed to regulate firearm exhaust gases to ensure PDW's cycle reliably every time. The primary design features include the redirection of the sound signature, decreasing the flash signature, significantly reducing recoil, and increasing accuracy. The Hatebrake installs with a 3/8" drive socket from the front, enabling it to be installed under a handguard without removing the handguard. During installation, the Hatebrake locks into place with K-Taper, a patent-pending taper locking technology, replacing the need for proprietary tapered barrels. The external shape of the Hatebrake is designed to work with M-Slot compatible handguards.
