The Magpul MAG619-FDE, also known as the MOE AK Hand Guard, is specifically designed as a replacement hand guard for standard AK pattern rifles that do not come with a front sling loop on the hand guard retainer. This hand guard has a heat-resistant polymer construction, reinforced for extra durability and features an integrated, black oxide coated stainless steel heat shield.

Three slots at the positions of three, six, and nine o'clock are strategically designed to make mounting M-LOK accessories or M-LOK 1913 Picatinny rail sections easy and direct. The front lip and long side extensions enhance safety by shielding your hand from the heated barrel and also providing an increased gripping surface. This hand guard comes with a replacement polymer top cover and is compatible with UltiMAK Optics Mount top cover. It also accommodates factory cleaning rod.

Simple to install, this hand guard replaces the original stamped receiver AK-47/AKM/AK-74 wooden or plastic hand guards utilizing the existing front hand guard retaining cap Without the sling loop. It must be noted that owing to the wide range of tolerances of a standard AK, minor fitting might be required. The hand guard is not suited for Yugo pattern rifles, RPK style receivers or milled receivers.
