PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Magpul MAG247-GRY, also known as the Mbus (Magpul Back-Up Sight), is a budget-friendly, color injection molded, polymer folding back-up sight. Notably, the Mbus Front Sight is chiefly designed for the AR15/M16 platform, despite its compatibility with most 1913 Picatinny-railed hand guards. It has an adjustable front sight for elevation.

Features include a spring-loaded flip-up sight that can be easily activated from either side or by pressing the top. Due to detent and spring pressure, the sight remains upright but can fold without obstruction under impact. It can clamp to nearly any MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny/STANAG 4694 railed hand guard, maintaining the same height-over-bore as standard A2 irons. Not to mention, protective wings shield the spring-locking A2 front sight post.

The sight comes with an elevation adjustment tool, but one can use most aftermarket A2 front sight adjustment tools as well. However, it should be noted that the front Mbus cannot be mounted to a railed gas block due to potential issues arising from excess heat. It must be mounted to a railed fore end on the same plane as the receiver rail. Hence, the sight is not compatible with MOE Hand Guards.
