Magpul MAG247-FDE MBUS Front Sight Folding Flat Dark Earth for AR-15, M16

Introducing the Magpul MAG247-FDE MAG247FDE, also known as the Mbus (Magpul Back-Up Sight). This pocket-friendly accessory is composed of color-injected polymer and styles a foldable back-up sight functionality. It's specially devised to accommodate the majority of 1913 Picatinny-railed hand guards, however, it is primarily designed keeping in mind the AR15/M16 platform.

The Mbus Front Sight sports multiple features such as adjustable elevation, mechanically-activated spring-loaded flip up sight which can be operated from either side or by simply pressing the top. Thanks to the detent and spring pressure, the sight maintains an upright position while smoothly folding under impact without any obstructions. This versatile back-up sight can be clamped to nearly any MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny/STANAG 4694 railed hand guard.

In addition, it delivers an identical height-over-bore as standard A2 irons, along with protective wings that shield the spring-locking A2 front sight post. Though an elevation adjustment tool is included in the package, it's worth mentioning that most aftermarket A2 front sight adjustment tools are compatible.

Please note the Mbus cannot be mounted to a railed gas block due to heat accumulation issues. The Front Mbus should be mounted to a railed fore end, in line with the receiver rail. As a result, compatibility with MOE Hand Guards is lacking.
