PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Winchester 535238299: Esteemed as the gold standard since 1936, the Model 70 bolt-action rifle sets the bar high. It features a trademark 3-position safety mechanism that's easily operable with the thumb of your firing hand, lifting the firing pin clear of the sear. The robust steel receiver is crafted from a single block of steel, providing a flat bottom profile for increased surface area in bedding.

The receiver is bedded securely within the stock using a two-part epoxy at both front and rear, preventing movement during firing. The iconic Controlled Round Feed (CRF) bolt design features a substantial claw extractor that securely occupies approximately a quarter of the cartridge base. This ensures complete control from the moment the cartridge leaves the magazine, gripping securely until the cartridge is fully ejected. This unique design element also permits an unspent cartridge to be extracted even if it is not fully chambered.

Featuring the ultra-precise M.O.A. Trigger System, this three-lever trigger system offers exceptional accuracy, complimented by an enhanced finish. Embodying the classic Pre-'64 controlled round feeding, the rifle exhibits improved fit and extraordinary precision. A blade-type ejector provides complete ejection control of a fired case. The free-floating barrel is button rifled, a process proven to greatly enhance accuracy and durability.
