PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Hunting Shack BER65X55130V is a collaborative production between HSM and Berger, resulting in our exclusive Trophy Gold rifle ammunition. This unique line is loaded with Berger's superior match grade VLD (Very Low Drag) hunting bullets, offering an optimal load for all types of game, from small to large. Previously exclusive to those who produced their ammunition by hand, Berger's VLD hunting bullets boast the highest achievable ballistic coefficient. These bullets are designed to maintain excellent performance at both close range and at distances exceeding 300 yards.
The VLD's innovative design incorporates a sharp hollow point nose, which is specifically engineered to penetrate between 2" and 3" prior to beginning expansion. Post initial expansion, the bullet sheds between 40% to 85% of its weight as shrapnel. This shrapnel then disperses into the surrounding tissue and organs, creating a devastating wound channel. This process results in the majority of the bullet's energy and hydrostatic shock to be expended throughout the targeted animal's mass, thereby ensuring a powerful impact.
