PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Hunting Shack BER308185VLD is the outcome of a collaborative effort between HSM and Berger to produce the exceptional Trophy Gold rifle ammunition range. This line is loaded with Berger's premium VLD (Very Low Drag) match-grade hunting bullets, suitable for hunting small, medium, and large game. Prior to this, Berger's VLD hunting bullets were exclusively available to hand loaders.
The VLD hunting bullets boast the highest achievable ballistic coefficient, tailored for long-range shots that exceed 300 yards, all while preserving superb close-range performance. The design of the VLD includes a sharp, hollow point nose, specifically fashioned to penetrate between 2" and 3" before initiating expansion.
Upon the commencement of expansion, the bullet disgorges 40% to 85% of its mass as shrapnel into the adjacent tissue and organs. This creates a damaging wound channel and leads to the maximal expenditure of the bullet's energy and hydrostatic shock throughout the body of the target animal, resulting in a rapid and efficient kill.
