PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Hornady 8061: Superformance ammunition stands out with its unique capability to deliver speeds 100 to 200 fps faster than ordinary ammunition. This feat is accomplished across every type of gun, without resulting in an uptick in felt recoil, muzzle blast, temperature sensitivity, fouling, or compromised accuracy. Superformance achieves this with ultra progressive propellants that elevate your preferred SST or GMX bullets to performance heights unrealizable with conventional propellants.

In the past, gaining more velocity involved using a brute force method of high charge weights of slow burning powder in a larger cartridge case. While this method does lead to an increase in velocity, it also results in heightened recoil and muzzle blast. However, the Superformance solution relies on specialized powders at standard charge weights that transfer all usable energy to the bullet, essentially diminishing the rocket nozzle effect at the muzzle while concurrently boosting velocity.
