PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Hornady 80543 Superformance ammunition outclasses conventional ammunition by a speed of 100 to 200 fps. This extraordinary performance is uniform across all guns and it does not result in any uptick in felt recoil, muzzle blast, temperature sensitivity, fouling, or loss of accuracy. What makes Superformance unique is its use of ultra progressive propellants. When combined with your favorite SST or GMX bullets, these propellants deliver a level of performance that is simply out of reach with conventional ones.

Traditionally, achieving more velocity has meant applying a brute force strategy with large charge weights of slow-burning powder in a larger cartridge case. This, however, inevitably leads to increased recoil and muzzle blast. Superformance ammunition, on the other hand, employs specialized powders at normal charge weights, directing all usable energy towards propelling the bullet. This reduces the 'rocket nozzle' effect at the muzzle while still managing to amp up the velocity.
