PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The evolution and perfection of the self-contained metallic cartridge motivated many firearms manufacturers and private gunsmiths to transform their cap and ball arms into what are known as "conversions." The Remington factory, however, chose a different path. Instead of converting older percussion arms, they started producing their popular New Model Army revolvers as metallic cartridge versions.

Recognizing the historical significance and timeless appeal of these firearms, Cimarron has refined their 1858 models for the needs of today's shooters. The 1858 New Model Army comes in standard blue, featuring an octagon barrel, and is equipped with ejector rods.

True to its origin, Cimarron's replica of the Remington New Model Army retains the visual appeal and handling characteristics of the authentic model, delivering an experience that's as close to the real thing as you can get!
