The Cimarron Model 1892 rifle originates from the patents of John Browning in 1884, which also hold relevance for the preceding, more sizable Model 1886 rifle. This model was launched by Winchester to replace the olde Model 1873 and was manufactured in well-recognized calibers established in the Model 1873.
