The VSKA (vis-kuh) heavy-duty AK rifle from Century Arms has undergone intensive re-engineering. This process sees the use of S7 tool steel to make critical components. These include a bolt carrier, front trunnion, and feed ramp - all meticulously machined and heat treated for unbeatable durability.

The front trunnion and bolt display exceptional resilience, having been machined from billet and meeting - even exceeding - the set durability targets for the project. This notable rifle also boasts a carburized 4140 steel bolt, complemented by a chrome-moly 4150 barrel, and is equipped with the RAK-1 Enhanced Trigger Group for an impressive trigger pull.

Not only is the VSKA feature-rich, but it also has a striking design aesthetic. This is thanks to a durable manganese-phosphate finish and some stylish American Maple wood detailing on the buttstock and forend. All fine flourishes that add a touch of class to this heavy-duty weapon.

For 2019 Century Arms introduces its newest heavy duty AK rifle, the VSKA (vis-kuh). Re-engineered with critical components using machined S7 tool steel, a material so highly regarded for it's ability to withstand heavy duty action that it's used in excavator teeth and jackhammer tips! The VSKA rifle features an all new bolt carrier, front trunnion, and feed ramp machined from S7 tool steel and specially heat treated for maximum durability. S7, often referred to as a “Shock-Resisting Tool Steel,” is commonly used for tools like chisels and jackhammer tips as it has maximum shock resistance and high compression strength, while retaining toughness. The front trunnion and bolt are machined from billet and exceeded the durability goals for the project. Additionally, the VSKA features a carburized 4140 steel bolt, a chrome-moly 4150 barrel, and sports the RAK-1 Enhanced Trigger Group for an impressive trigger pull. Along with a manganese-phosphate finish, Century adds a little style to the heavy-duty brute with an American Maple wood buttstock and forend. No matter the need, the Century Arms VSKA is built for it!
