PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
BSP Brand Ammunition 7.62x39 caliber, 122 grain, Lead Core, FMJ. Corrosive, Laquer Coated Steel Case, 1000 Round Case. This high-quality ammunition is manufactured Kyrgyzstan under the direction of the Ministry Of Defense. It is made to military specs. This ammunition features a specially formulated coating that ensures smooth feeding and extraction and it features Berdan primers that ensure reliable ignition. BSP ammo is considered " Corrosive " in that it utilizes potassium chlorate in the primer to inhibit moisture and increase shelf life as well as adding an extra degree of insurance for proper performance even in humid, wet conditions. The downside is that this potassium chlorate additive (salt) can leave residue in the chamber, bore, and barrel that can attract moisture after firing if not cleaned. The rule of thumb is if you never clean your firearm then don't shoot corrosive ammo. If you clean up within a reasonable time after firing anyway then corrosive ammo will perform flawlessly for you, will not harm your firearm, and will probably be even more sure-fire and with a longer shelf life than non-corrosive ammo. Thus endeth the sermon. Although this brand is relatively new in the U.S. this factory has fulfilled numerous military contracts and has privately labeled its ammo very successfully the world over. We have tested it extensively and have found it to be very good, surefire, and extremely accurate ammunition. For what it's worth some " Corrosive " ammunition has a strong sulfur smell when firing it, however, this does not and we are told that the only corrosive properties are in the primer itself.... and not the powder.... and therefore it is considered only mildly corrosive.... but others say that is like being mildly pregnant.... you either are, or you're not... so take that for what it's worth. It does shoot really good though. This ammunition comes packaged with 50-20-round commercial boxes in a 1000-round case. We sell the SKU by the 1000 Round Case quantity.
