The Barrett 18499, known as the MRAD, is a versatile and precise rifle suitable for both recreational shooting and duty use. Its upper receiver, made from durable 7000-series aluminum, features a full-length M1913 Picatinny top rail with a built-in taper ideal for long-range accuracy. The hand guard of the MRAD is designed with mounting slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, allowing for easy attachment of various accessories like rails and electro-optics. This rifle stands out for its user-changeable barrel system, enabling quick conversion to 8 different calibers or various barrel lengths by simply loosening two bolts with a standard Torx wrench, eliminating the need for a gunsmith. The lower receiver of the MRAD encompasses a fully adjustable match-grade trigger module, giving the user control over setting their preferred trigger pull. Additionally, the MRAD's folding stock on the right side reduces its overall width for convenient transport, while providing stability and rigidity when extended into place.
