You know when you are building a rifle and you drop or misplace a small part, or maybe a spring gets sprug across the room and you can't find it. Well when that happens you will be glad you had a spare. Springs and Detents can easily get misplaced when you are installing them and/or replacing them. A lot of folks just go ahead and buy an extra one of these when they buy their primary parts kits to have spares on hand just in case. Also works great to have on hand as replacement or refresher parts. These are made by a major U.S. contractor and are the same small parts and springs that are used in a number of different major brand name AR-15 rifles.
